i'm having a good time with CSS the past few days, this is pretty fun. :3 i've been in a pretty bad funk the last few months, but today feels alright. i woke up pretty late after a strange dream, which isn't uncommon for me, but i had a nice long shower and watched a video from swellentertainment, which i haven't done in a while. since i don't use twitter anymore and never got into tiktok, she's part of how i stay in touch with what the current trends are. she's also pretty scathing sometimes and i appreciate her realness lol.

it's a nice break to focus on something less consequential, as opposed to how much i've been watching videos/reading the news. the way the voter's right's act from the 60s has been gutted in favor of racist jerrymandering is vile and it's already having immediate affects upon representatives. judges need fuckin term limits, this is insane. ugh... it makes me sick.

i only just realized that mother's day is tomorrow... i know what i'll be getting her, but omg the week totally flew by. most weeks have felt like that this year tbh, what do you mean it's already may???

i think i'm going to make some more of my favorite soup this week, that way i can make somewhat of an effort to eat vegetables. i've had so little appetite/will to eat recently that i've been eating whatever i can make myself eat, even if it has like no nutritional value. i should share the recipe here, i adapted it from claire saffitz's recipe for vegan coconut lentil soup. i like chicken broth waaay more than vegetable broth, so it's no longer vegan, but it's still packed with veggies and nutrients! yum! i'm very fond of any recipe with curry spices and coconut milk hehe.
